We brought this DVD player on vacation with us for our 3 yr. old daughter. It performed well and still had half battery life after 4 cumulative hours of use. The controls on the player are simple enough for our daughter to use. The remote has features for more detailed functions. The charger allowed for 220 voltage in Asia. The only "con" I can think of is the lack of fast search (forward and reverse) buttons on the player instead of just skip buttons.
